Bob started at Dorr in 1988 shortly after graduating from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a degree in Economics. Bob assisted the company’s founder, Melbourne Dorr in transforming the small regional aircraft finance company into one of the Nation’s leading high performance piston lenders. In 2001 Bob became the president of Dorr and the sole owner in 2015. Since Bob started at Dorr, Dorr has originated over 9,000 aircraft loans.
Bob is a private pilot, a member of AOPA and has been a previous President and Board Member of NAFA. He is passionate about assisting as many people as possible in achieving their dream of flight. Bob is also an avid supporter of our military and their families, and as such, a small donation is made to the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund for each loan closed. In the last several years Dorr has donated over $ 30,000 to this great cause.
