Doug Carney graduated from Ohio State with a BS in electrical engineering in 1984 and entered US Air Force flight training. Over the course of his career, he accumulated 3,000 flight hours in the RF-4, F-14, and F-15, and served staff tours at the Pentagon as a liaison to the congressional appropriations committees, and Checkmate, an elite organization focused on operational strategy. He has extensive experience in the development of technology, ranging from serving as leader of a team that rapidly developed a capability to locate buried IEDs in Iraq, managing strategy and funding for a program developing technology for the military and intelligence communities. Doug is currently the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manager business development for programs with DARPA. He earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a graduate of the US Air Force Air War College, and the University of Southern California Flight Safety Officer and US Air Force Chief of Safety courses.
