Carl Eudo-Mitchell
Carl commenced his career by embarking on a 4 year apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering at RNAY Fleetlands in Gosport, Hampshire. In 1982, he started work with Bristow Helicopters in Aberdeen, and within 1 year, obtained a UK CAA license and a type rating in the following year. He was posted to China in 1986, working on Eurocopter AS332, undertaking offshore transportation. In 1991, he was posted to Malaysia working under secondment to Malaysian Helicopter Services, supporting the offshore oil and gas markets. Carl moved to Brunei in 1997 to work for HM The Sultan’s Flight on VVIP helicopters.
In 1998, he commenced work with Police Aviation Services in the UK. Within one year, he was promoted to Crew Chief, then Deputy Maintenance Manager, and Engineering Manager in 2000. He was responsible for maintenance, engineering, and continuing Airworthiness, holding the Part 145 and Part M post holder positions. During this time, he was an active member of the British Helicopter Advisory Board (BHAB) and represented UK helicopter engineering on the Onshore Helicopter Liaison Committee.
He joined CHC Helicopters in April 2007 as Chief of Maintenance for the Southern North Sea, responsible for management of offshore oil and gas support bases. In 2008, he became the Technical Services Manager and EASA Part M post holder for CHC in the Netherlands. In July 2012, he was promoted to Director of AgustaWestland and Bell fleets, responsible for all technical aspects related to the maintenance and operation of the global fleet of the 55 aircraft operating in more than 10 countries.
Carl started work with McLarens Aviation in June 2017 as a Surveyor / Project Manager.
